•When Jenny rolls out of the Car boot, Coricopat assists her out.
• The Mouse/Kittens are copying Munkustrap when he “ties in sailor Knots.”
• When Munkustrap sais smooth and flat, Jenny’s friends rub the air.
• During the song Asparagus lies in the pipe, and suddenly, Exotica appears in the pipe as well.
• Jellylorum has to keep on pulling off the boot, because it was not getting off.
•Jemima has to pull off her mask and then put it back on again in the Mouse/kitten bit.

Pouncival

Pouncival is a cheeky tom kitten. He is mainly white with a cute brown patch on his left eye and black stripes which go across his chest. He has white and grey legwarmers and slightly tinged redish arm. He has freckles and small bite marks all over his face.

Pouncival lives up to his name: you can see him jumping everyone in many songs. He is quite athletic and can do back flips and high jumps off objects. You can see him do one of his famous pounces in Invitations to the Jellicle Ball, and you can see him do a backflip in the Rum Tum Tugger. He is always seen somewhere high up, such as right at the beginning on the roost.

Pouncival has two main friends, Plato and Tumblebrutus, who together join the tom fan club for Tugger. Plato and he are often seen getting into trouble. For example, did you know that during Bustopher Jones, it is plainly seen that POuncival falls over and out of line, but it isbecause he was getting piggy backed by Plato that he falls over in the first place.

He can also get in trouble by hmself though, because he seems he is quite a lazy guy. When all the cats are doing the beetle tap he doesn't want to dance, because he is too lazy or thinks that it is too old school. Jennanydots scolded him, and he walked away shamelessly. He is quite cold to the people he does not know, and will go along with what other people do if it is classified as cool. He attacks Grizabella both times she enters, and does not find the meaning of happiness when she is accepted by many other cats.

There seems to be something between him and Bombalurina. Bomba seems to have a crush on him, and he likes that idea because she is popular, and she is very pretty. Each time she flirts with him he flirts back with her. She actually does the courtship dance with him. And that is a major find your mate dance. I think if there were not that age difference these two would be a very cute couple.

Pouncival is a tom that is a total wannabe popular, and is caring to his friends but hates his enemies.

I’m young free, carless and have the biggest crush on Demeter. I’m walking down a side street when I see him for the first time. There sitting on a bin behind the butcher is him “Macavity” I said quietly to myself. “Welcome to my lire, Mungojerry” he said with and entrancing voice, “How do you know my name?” I answered back, “I know lots of things I and I know you very well, would you like to join me?” “No... Maybe, I’ll need to ask Deuteronomy” I was confused, “No! You don’t need to ask anyone it’s your own choice.” “Ok I’ll think about it” and with that I ran down the street. I was scared I didn’t know what to do so I went to my den. Rumpleteazer was there sitting on the floor with a map open. When I came in she looked up and smiled at me. “So where to next, the Market on high St or Old Jenny’s home” she asked cheerfully, “Not sure, you decide” she was always in a good mood. “Um, ok Old Jenny’s home they have a roast on tonight and lots of goods on display” she answered. I couldn’t stand it anymore I was felling so guilty so I went out side. Then that’s when I saw him, sitting on a box. “So are you going to join me” he asked me. I felt some of the guilt lift and I knew that I should. “Ok” I said then all the guilt lifted, Macavity smiled. “Good, know this is what I want you to do” then he wisped something in my ear and placed a small box in my hand.

•When the cats separate into the three groups, there is spotlighting on the two groups on the right side, but not on the one on the left side.

• You can actually see Quaxo in the pipe the whole time during Victoria’s solo.

• When Quaxo does his first entrance, on the left side were Tugger enters in the Rum Tum Tugger, you can faintly see one of the cats entering, before everyone else enters.

• When they are doing there little duo, Etcetera runs over and gives Electra a big hug, and Rumpleteazer rubs against Demeter.

•Alonzo, Munkustrap and Tugger are all standing next to each other in the Choirlike part. Brotherhood?

• In the first shot, it looks as though Asparagus is sitting on some sort of metal position, but in the first chorus he is on the pipe.

• When Jenny is singing ‘familiar with candle’ Alonzo looks as though he is inspecting Viccy.

• When Tumblebrutus does the Tumble, behind him, Pouncival does a big jump onstage.

• Cassie is actually the only female cat in the first line of the choir-like part, and is rubbing against Plato.

The Other Courtship Dancers

In Victoria and Plato's Mating Dance, all the Cats around them seem to be also dancing some version of it on the floor. What are they doing? Here are some idea's of what could possibly be happenning:

1. The Celebration. All the Cats around the two in the middle, are celebrating the coming of age of Victoria and Plato. Victoria is the Cat coming of age, and any tom,who does not yet have a mate, can be chosen. Victoria chooses Plato. They dance the COurtship dance and everyone around the side shows there happiness by dancing around them, celebrating with Victoria and Plato.

Name/s: Asparagus

Age: Middle-aged to senior. Some believe him to be younger.

Appearance: A tufty brown tom, one of the tallest of all the toms. Has accents of grey, white and browny red in his coat. His cheeks are pale and white, he has a very comical and expressive face. His armwarmers are light grey, as is his chest. His coat has thin straight lines of brown all over it. His wig is white, red, brown and black, and his eyebrows are thin and scraggly. He has light whiskers, but no freckles. He is a stray cat, collarless.

Personality: Asparagus is a quiet older tom, he is confident and cocky but doesn't say much. He is kindly and caring to Grizabella and all the kittens. He is sensible, and disapproves of flirting and the Rum Tum Tugger. He likes to sit and observe the other cats dancing, singing, and falling in love. He is probably a deep thinker. Asparagus is not Gus, he was a character created for the video to replace Gus in the dances and songs. Nonetheless, he has his own character and is probably the next generations' theatre cat. People say that he doesn't exist, because two cats cannot have the same "particular" name. Asparagus is however not his "particular" name, but his "everday" name. Just an unusual one.

Shining Moment: His "there's a man over there" sequence in Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats.

Relationships:
His mate is commonly considered to be Jellylorum, the cream-coloured Lillie Cat.
He probably has kittens- these are disputed, but from Jellylorum's actions they seem to be Etcetera, Victoria and Pouncival.
His best friend seems quite clearly to be Skimbleshanks. He alse socializes with Admetus and Jennyanydots.
Asparagus' parents are almost definitely deceased.

Alonzo is a slender black and white tom. Unlike other toms his coat has black splodges. He is strong and enjoys guarding the Junkyard with Munkustrap. He has a very prominent splodge on the side of his lip.

He flirts with many queens and even kittens, Victoria being a very common one. In a scene in Old Deuteronomy, he nuzzles Victoria, and dances very intimately with Jemima. This may be in greeting as cats do but this is certainly a twist in the tale.
