Pouncival is a cheeky tom kitten. He is mainly white with a cute brown patch on his left eye and black stripes which go across his chest. He has white and grey legwarmers and slightly tinged redish arm. He has freckles and small bite marks all over his face.

Pouncival lives up to his name: you can see him jumping everyone in many songs. He is quite athletic and can do back flips and high jumps off objects. You can see him do one of his famous pounces in Invitations to the Jellicle Ball, and you can see him do a backflip in the Rum Tum Tugger. He is always seen somewhere high up, such as right at the beginning on the roost.

Pouncival has two main friends, Plato and Tumblebrutus, who together join the tom fan club for Tugger. Plato and he are often seen getting into trouble. For example, did you know that during Bustopher Jones, it is plainly seen that POuncival falls over and out of line, but it isbecause he was getting piggy backed by Plato that he falls over in the first place.

He can also get in trouble by hmself though, because he seems he is quite a lazy guy. When all the cats are doing the beetle tap he doesn't want to dance, because he is too lazy or thinks that it is too old school. Jennanydots scolded him, and he walked away shamelessly. He is quite cold to the people he does not know, and will go along with what other people do if it is classified as cool. He attacks Grizabella both times she enters, and does not find the meaning of happiness when she is accepted by many other cats.

There seems to be something between him and Bombalurina. Bomba seems to have a crush on him, and he likes that idea because she is popular, and she is very pretty. Each time she flirts with him he flirts back with her. She actually does the courtship dance with him. And that is a major find your mate dance. I think if there were not that age difference these two would be a very cute couple.

Pouncival is a tom that is a total wannabe popular, and is caring to his friends but hates his enemies.
